Far too often the Texas legislative sessions are traumatic for our LGBTQI+ community. This year was no different, in particular it was damaging to transgender persons and their families. This event is designed to help all of us process the impact of the session, but to also celebrate our community.
We’ll begin the evening with an informal meet and greet followed by a conversation about the past legislative session with our panelist, Rep. Celia Israel and LGBTQI+ activist, Ash Hall.
The keynote speaker for the evening will be Dr. Rita Nakashima Brock, a renowned expert in trauma, moral injury, and resilience.
